About us
The Norwegian National Advisory Unit for Ultrasound and Image-Guided Therapy was established in 2011, the precursors were 3 centers (neuro, endovascular, laparoscopy), established in 1996.
In the Unit USIGT, surgeons, engineers and scientists in Trondheim are collaborating closely in a unique way to improve current surgical methods and to develop new techniques for minimally invasive surgery, using ultrasound and image-guidance technology, like tracking technologies and advanced visualization. For patients this mean safer operations and faster recovery.
Location
The Advisory Unit is located on St. Olavs hospital campus in Trondheim.
